Tim Brennan’s Magazine Cover: Beer Pong Monthly

leave a comment »

My goal here was to just do something fun.  Beer pong is a fun game that most college students play, some more than others.  Since this is a very simple subject matter, I thought it would be befitting to use a simple design.  I used a few different colors for text to create contrast and placed the text in places that I felt would interfere with the image minimally.

Tim Brennan’s Magazine Cover

I like this cover because there is a minimal amount of text, but the text is sized in a way so that there isn’t too much empty space.  I also really like the photo because its up close and personal and it puts you right in the action.

As far as my magazine goes, I’m still a little unsure about what I’m going to do but I’m thinking of doing something involving beer pong.

Interesting infographic

I think this is a particularly good inforgraphic  because it is well organized, easy to read and is aesthetically pleasing.  ESPN does this for all on going college basketball games.  It provides the box score for the game as well as each half, how much time is left, the top performers and also a statistical break down for every player on both teams.
