Spring Design For Journalism – Section 1

Just another WordPress.com weblog

“Are You Not Entertained? Is That Not Why We Are Here?”

with one comment

I guess the obvious way to start this post would be to say that my name’s Brandi Hargette, and I traveled to Temple University from Charlotte, NC. I’m 1 of 9 children, highly ambitious, and a performance poet. As far as demographics go, that’s pretty much all that matters.

However, I should mention that I’m a magazine journalism major intended on going to law school and publishing some type of fiction novel in the midst of all this. I think that I want to do some sort of civil litigation as it relates to women, because I am all about female empowerment. Am I a feminist? Who really knows, but I’m sure that I think women should uplift each other. Hence, my legal interest.

Yet and still, my passion is writing. I plan on doing that regardless of whatever profession I choose. Knowing that I intend on going to law school, however, made me choose to major in something I cared for, learn the works, and wait for law school to teach me whatever it is I need to know within the legal field. In a pool of applicants, I didn’t want to be the typical person majoring in politcal science, english, pre-law, etc.

Oh yeah, I have 4 pittbulls back home and I love porkchops 🙂

Lastly, I’m posting 2 pictures because dependent upon my laziness, my hair will either be a huge fro (curly or blow dried) or straightened into this current style on my head. It’s normally a huge fro, making me more recognizable to people, but since it isn’t that way today-I thought both pics would be fitting.

The man on my left is my big fuzzy friend Vizion. You’d never guess he was a poet too, right?
P.S. My blog site is turningwordsintoverbs.blogspot.com
